Minor Rags: - Dickey, Kyle Drabek, Stefan Welsh... and Jimmy Fuller

Bisons:

R.A. Dickey's success against Pawtucket extended to another start on Saturday afternoon. The Buffalo Bisons' knuckleballer dominated the Red Sox with a 4-2 victory at McCoy Stadium. Dickey allowed two runs in eight innings, striking out five and posting four 1-2-3 innings. He threw 110 pitches. At one point, he retired seven batters in a row. Dickey first faced the Red Sox in the Bisons' home opener on April 14. He delivered with an 8-2 victory, giving up just two runs and striking out five. - link

B-Mets:

In a matchup of the Eastern League's top offense and one of the league's best pitching prospects, Kyle Drabek showed exactly why he was a key component of the offseason trade that shipped former Toronto ace Roy Halladay to the Philadelphia Phillies. Drabek threw 5 2/3 scoreless innings, and Eric Thames went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs to lead the New Hampshire Fisher Cats to a 5-1 victory over the Binghamton Mets on Saturday afternoon at NYSEG Stadium. Drabek, son of 1990 National League Cy Young Award winner and major-league veteran of 13 years Doug Drabek, surrendered just two hits while striking out seven with a fastball that topped 95 on a couple of occasions.- link

Lucy:

The St. Lucie Mets scored two runs in the fourth inning, added three in the fifth and hung on for a 5-4 win over the Jupiter Hammeerheads on Friday at Roger Dean Stadium. Stefan Welch went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and Raul Reyes had an RBI single for the Mets. The win went to Kyle Allen (2-0) who struck out five in five innings. Kevin Mattison and Daniel Pertusati each had two hits for the Hammerheads. - link

Gnats:

Jimmy Fuller might be off to the best start among Savannah Sand Gnats pitchers. But he wasn't crazy about the way things began Saturday night. Before the first inning was over, the left-hander had allowed two runs - the same amount of runs as his first three games combined. But Fuller settled down, relinquished just four hits during the next seven innings and the Sand Gnats defeated the Hickory Crawdads, 4-2, before 1,900 at Grayson Stadium. - link
