R.I.P. - Harry Galbreath

There’s some terribly sad news coming out of the Tennessee camp.

Harry Galbreath, the 1987 Jacobs Award winner as the SEC’s best blocker, died Tuesday morning of an apparent heart ailment. Galbreath was 45.

Easily one of the best offensive linemen to ever play for the Vols, Galbreath went on to play nine seasons in the NFL. He returned to his alma mater a couple of years ago to work on the football strength and conditioning staff, but had since left that job.

Galbreath, known as “Harry Love” to many of his friends and former teammates, was one of the rocks on that Tennessee 1985 SEC championship team. He was a three-year starter and earned All-America honors during his senior season.
