He's had four starts so far at A+.  If you take out that shitty start against Fort Myers, he's at 15 innings, 17 K, 6 BB, and 1.2 ERA.  With all the movement in the system what are the chances he gets to Binghamton by summer?

My hope is that he gets 3-4 starts at Vegas to end the year so he can start there in 2014 and make the majors in June/July.

Mack -

Which are the only 4 starts he has had at the A+ level in his career.

Because of that, and the fact that 6-7 starters have fell like flies this year in the system, I don't expect an early exit from this level. Maybe after the all-star break if he remains dominant, but he could stay here for the entire season.

He has only pitched in 49 professional games (194.0-IP).

Binghamton is pretty set right now with Montero, Pill, de-Grom, Verrett, and Goedell. And, you would still have to make room for Mazzoni and/or Mateo.

Thanks Mack. I was just thinking Matero and possibly deGrom might make it up to NYC this summer given the state of the Mets rotation....also thought Mazzoni might end up in the pen at some point too.

There is no chance degrom is in NYC this year and very little chance montero is. Degrom would have to be added to 40 man and their comments about montero this week empathize that he is likely going no where either. At best maybe a sept call up but the minor leagues season is over then so that has no bearing on your theory. If you are looking to alleviate the log jam to promote Thor a better guess would be that they are out in that hell pit for pitchers - Vegas

the Mets are not going to rush their plan... they have certain pitchers with certain ETA's regardless of how many of them make it...

2013: Mejia, Marcum

2014: Wheeler

2015: Montero, Syndergaard, deGrom, Pill, Verrett, Mateo

2016: Fulmer, Matz, Tapia, Robles, Fulmer

They need to find three pitchers out of these guys... oh... did I add Ryne Stanek after he is picked at #11?
