Brandon Nimmo: 1-3, 2 BB. (Nimmo seems to be adjusting to AA pitching, slowly raising his average to .217. Nimmo’s OBP, however, sits at a very respectable .348.)

Darrell Ceciliani: 2-4, R, SB. (DC’s 14th stolen base of the year.)

Every starting pitcher above DSL did well. Nice to see a strong start from Meisner. Dekker remains completely on fire with 3 extra base hits and a walk, and Reynolds not only hot again but stole his 6th base in a month + in AAA. A lot of positives last nite.

What is your feeling on Whalen at this point in time?

Art -

I like Whalen a lot (nice guy too) but he's got a long way to go...

His growth was cut short with some injuries which will keep him in Savannah for the remainder of the season, which won't upset management there.

Look for him to start 2015 in the St. Lucie rotation.

Love Whalen. I think he, Gsellman, and Molina are three pitchers to watch this coming year.
