The Binghamton Mets gave up a walk-off double to Jonathan Roof in the bottom of the ninth inning and fell to the Portland Sea Dogs, 4-3, on Tuesday night at Hadlock Field. After the next two batters got out, Herrera singled to put two one with two outs. Brian Burgamy worked a walk to load the bases. With Dustin Lawley at the plate, Diaz tossed a wild pitch in the dirt, Taijeron scored and the B-Mets led 1-0.

Sean Coyle singled to put a runner on with one out. Two batters later, Stefan Welch singled to right field. Shannon Wilkerson brought them home with a base knock and Portland took a 3-1 lead.

The B-Mets responded right away. Taijeron smashed a solo home run more than 400 feet to straight away center field. With two outs, Herrera hit a shot over the Maine Monster in left field to knot the game at three.

Pete Ruiz (2-0) went allowed just one hit over two scoreless innings. Velasquez (4-3) went 1-2/3 innings and allowed just one run. Neither starter factored in the decision.
