August 11th 2015 - Mets 4, Rockies 0

Tuesday night at Citi Field, Matt Harvey pitched 8 scoreless innings.  Juan Lagares went 3 for 5 with 2 RBI the Mets beat the Rockies by the score of 4-0. Matt Harvey started for the Mets and was lights out.  Harvey went 8 innings allowing 4 hits and 4 strikeouts to hold down the Rockies. The Mets took a 1-0 lead in the 6th on a RBI single by Ruben Tejada. In the 8th Curtis Granderson walked with the bases loaded to make it 2-0.  Lagares then hit a 2 run double to make it 4-0 Mets. Harvey marks his 11th win he’s now 11-7 with a 2.61 ERA. Eric O’Flaherty pitched the ninth to lock down the win.  With the win the Mets improve to 61-52 overall and are now 40-18 at Citi Field.  The Nationals were shut out by the Dodgers on the west coast on Tuesday night. The Mets now lead the NL East by 2 1/2  games.  Wednesday it’s game 3 of the series. Jacob deGrom (10-6 2.13) goes for the Mets.,  Jorge De La Ross (7-4  4.85) goes for the Rockies

Now the Rockies get to look forward to deGrom and Syndergaard. It's crazy. I hope they like the restaurants in NYC, because that's all they are going to get out of this trip to the Big Apple.
