GCL Mets  - DAY OFF

Now Here's the Scoop:

Las Vegas pitched Darin Gorski tonight.  Despite a combined 5 for 9 and 3 doubles from Herrera, Muno, and Tovar, Vegas and Vic Black fell on an unearned run in the 9th.  Vic allowed one hit and struck out 2.

Binghamton's Tyler Pill took the start. Six shutout innings for the win, and Tyler the hitter supreme went 3 for 4.  Mazzilli went 4-5, 2 RBIs. Sewald picked up save # 20.

St Lucie got 2 hits apiece from Jeff McNeil (.320) and Dom Smith (.313), along with 2 Smith ribbies (72). Rafael Montero went 3 innings, 1 run, 1 K.

Savannah tried for 13 in a row tonight. Got it done, baby. Four pitchers combined on the win, with Gibbons getting the W and Luis Mateo striking out 2 in a perfect inning of work.

Brooklyn scored 2 in the second, but that was it for the struggling offense, as they lost 3-2 in 11. Pasha gave up his first run and blew the save, and Andrew Church with 6.1 innings with no earned runs.

Kingsport sent Llanes to the hill today. He was not sharp, but he won. Why? The big 3 bats remained big, with Kaczmarski (.340), Mazelka (.367). and Winninham (43 RBIs) having 2 hits apiece.

Is it me, or is there not one interesting player on Brooklyn this year? It doesn't seem like anyone is having a good season.

James, check out the bullpen arms in Brooklyn if you're looking for anything worth keeping a watch on, otherwise you're correct.

Thanks, Closer. I was afraid of that.
