Chris, you ought to do a season's recap.

I was curious to see how the league's hitting leader (.400+), Eric Filia, was doing in his minors career. Oddly, although drafted just last year and already 25, he has hit .337 in his minors career so far, has fine extra base pop (although not so many HRs) and rarely strikes out (e.g., just 7 times in pretty close to 100 AFL at bats). What round the 3B picked? Round 20.

Only hitter nearly as good (or better) that was drafted in 2016 by the Mets was 2nd round Alonso.

They pick bats nowhere near as good as Filia before Round 20 (like 14th round 3B Jay Jabs, clocking in at .196 so far with 147 Ks in about 550 plate appearances).

Eric Filia was not on any of the top 10 draft pick draft boards that year
